Martindale Abrasion Tester (Four Station Model), model LT-16

as per ISO : 20344 & IS : 15298(Part-1) : For determining the abrasion resistance of upper, lining, socking & similar types of shoe materials. The test pieces are clamped in four circular holders & rest under load on circular tables covered with abrasive material, usually a worsted fabric. They are rubbed over the abrasive in all directions. Abrasion damage is generally judged from inspection & expressed, as of damage after certain fixed numbers of rubs but certain materials can be graded on a thickness or weight loss basis. The machine is fitted with geared motor to give rpm 47.5/min., specimen holder dia 28.65 ± 0.25mm & combined mass 795 ± 7g. This is suitable for operation on 220/230 Volts 1 Ø A.C. supply.

Flexometer (Six Station Model), model LT-11 (Bally type)

Used to assess the tendency of all types of light Leather/Rexene materials to crack or break, as a result of flexing in wear. It is equally suitable for testing leather, plastic coated fabrics, poromerics & fabrics. Six samples are tested simultaneously at a flexing speed of 100 ± 5cycles/min. and the machine is fitted with a six digit digital counter enabling the test time to be preset. The machine is motorized & is suitable for operation on 220/230Volts, single phase A.C. supply.
